Between that beautiful moon and the equally beautiful sea is a life-flight helicopter. May their mission be successful.
Reality strikes home. As those of you who have been following this blog for all these months, you are all too aware that I end each blog with the title for today's post. Those words, though often used to the point of becoming a cliche, are true. This point was made crystal clear today. After yet another fantastically wonderful day, our last in Japan, we set sail about 3 pm amidst another heart-warming sendoff. Parents had brought their children and/or dogs in strollers down to the pier, a band played, the crowd waved, young children shouted "Bye-bye!". adults shouted "Come back soon" and "Have a safe trip to Alaska!", even the tug boat crew waved goodbye. I waved like a crazy person and shed a tear or two as I do truly love this country. Not the music so much but the country and its people. About three hours out, Dottie, our cruise director, comes over the PA with an announcement that the ship will be returning to port due to the illness of one of our fellow passengers.
After approximately another three hours of traveling southwest instead of northeast I notice all kinds of lights headed straight for the ship. While I could see lights on shore quite some distance away, we were at least an hour away from getting my fellow passenger the necessary advanced medical attention needed. The helicopter hovered over the top deck for several minutes before taking off towards shore. Kudos to our crew and the helicopter crew for their efficiency. May he or she, my fellow passenger, recover quickly.
God does not promise us someday. This is it. Never pass up an opportunity to pass on a sincere compliment. It may be The Thing that makes that person's day. Never be afraid to tell someone you love them, you may never again have the opportunity. Always be a glass is half full person, if not the glass is running over person. Be thankful for what you have rather than fret about what you have not. Look for solutions to problems, not someone to blame for them. Appreciate what you have! Trust me on this, I have seen people existing without one-tenth of what anyone I know possesses and they have smiles on their faces and joy in their lives! God has given us a huge beautiful world! Let's try not to ruin it but rather enjoy it and be grateful. Henceforth I shall endeavor to practice all of which I preach.
Love LIfe! We never know when it will end!
Today Truly Is Someday!

Hoping for a good outcome for that pssenger.
