San Francisco

The weather in San Francisco has not been kind to the residents lately and I worried for over a week that my flight would not arrive timely, at all, any number of other horrible things would cause me to miss my embarkation. Someone once said, the things we worry about almost never come to pass. That was true in this case. The flight arrived timely and with only mild turbulence. I have experienced much rougher flights. Oceania does things first class and that was the case with this flight. I am so sorry that I did not get the flight attendants name because he was incredible! A cute little toddler was assigned the seat directly behind me. However, he was NOT going to be belted in. No Way, No How. That is until this wonderful man took charge. He had that little boy eating out of his hand in no time at all. Problem solved. I thanked him as we were leaving the plane, to which he said, "Tell that to United!" Sadly, I can't due to the lack of his name. United, give that young man a raise!
I was met at the luggage carousel by a lovely lady who took me and my bags in tow to be transported along with two couples to The Fairmont Hotel to await our transport to the ship for embarkation. It was drizzling rain when we arrived last night so I did not venture out to explore San Francisco, nor will I do so this morning as it is still drizzling. Slept like a log last night since I didn't have the worry of not arriving timely. From past trips, I know there are many worthwhile sites and experiences in San Francisco (especially the chocolate and Fisherman's Warf), but I shall have to miss them this time. I am told by the Oceania staff that several of the passengers from the aborted 2020 voyage are here; however, I have not yet seen anyone I recognize.
Anxiously awaiting the next step: boarding The Insignia and being reunited with my luggage, I am very much in need of warmer clothing. With luck, I did a better job packing for the remainder than I did San Francisco! It's always chilly to me in San Francisco! What was I thinking?
Today is Someday! Enjoy It!

Bon Voyage!
