Beautiful, Captivating Australia!

There is so very much to see in this part of the World; a week or two here and there is simply not enough. When we leave tomorrow, I will most certainly leave a little piece of my heart in Australia. As beautiful as Seychelles, but different. Due to weather, we did not see the wonders of Mooloolaba, but instead moved on up the coast to Whitsunday Island. (According to Sam, our female pilot, Whitsunday was so named before the International Dateline was created thus should now be renamed Whitmonday... A rose is still a rose, no matter the name.) We were taken ashore via a luxurious three hundred passenger "tender", then by bus a short distance to a small airport to board a tiny, eight passenger fixed wing plane for an hour plus ride to see Whitehaven Beach and the Great Barrier Reef.

Magnificent! Breathtakingly Beautiful! Awesome! Thrilling! All the superlatives one can imagine!

Sam explained that the Reef is larger than all of Italy and only slightly smaller than Germany. (As you may remember, the astronauts were able to see it from outer space.) According to Sam and Dr. Jane, it is nature coupled with environmentalists that has managed to reverse its demise. Whatever the reason, one must be grateful. It is unlike anything else on Earth.

The primary focus of our flight over this part of the Reef was The Heart Reef within the massive reef and an added attraction of Whitehaven Beach. Whitehaven Beach was voted World's Most Beautiful Beach in 2021 and again in 2025, per Sam. I have no favorite. Both were stunning. You be the judge as to which you like better.

Then, to top off this perfect day, was this beautiful coral sunset! What other color would the sunset be over The Coral Sea?

Today is Someday! Revel in its Beauty!
