A Few of My Many Photos

ree

The airport for all the Galapagos Islands. One must deplane onto the tarmac and walk a bit to the terminal. It sits on top of a mountain of lava rock with a few cacti around. Think it actually had three gates. Then you take a bus to the dock, a ferry to another dock on another island, then a bus across dry flat lands to the rainy uplands to dine and see the giant land turtles, then back on the bus to our hotels. We numbered 26 plus guides so no one hotel could accomodate all of us. What a day!

Below: The lone Pink Flamingo inhabitant of this particular island. Name of island escapes me.

The beach where some snorkeled but waves were too rough to actually see anything. Soft sandy beach with crabs and other creatures galore.

Your typical day in The Islands!

Below: A map of the islands displayed in the restaurant where we had lunch at 4:30 pm. First time I had actually been really hungry on this trip. After lunch we donned rubber boots and went in search of giant land tortious.
